The new Popular Party of Nigeria (NNPP) has criticized the former governor of the state of Kano and his presidential candidate of 2023, Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso, for describing the members of the Kwankwassiya movement who deserted the ruler Congress of all progressive (APC) as appetizes, ruling that he is the real butt.
Kwankwaso, who is also a former defense minister, recently attacked members of the Kwankwasiyya movement of which he is a national leader for leaving the NNPP for APC who say that his actions are nothing more than a treason of trust.
Remember that the senator who represents the Senatorial District of southern Kano in the National Assembly, Abdulrahman Kawu, recently defected the ruling party along with some federal legislators of the state of Kano.
The fractional president of NNPP, Agbo Major, in a statement on Monday in Lagos declared that Kwankwaso cannot speak for the party, since he has been expelled from NNPP.

Major declared that the Kwankwassiya movement is not a political party, but a group admitted to the NNPP following the 2023 presidential elections where its leader became the carrier of the party's flag.
He said: “Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso has been expelled from NNPP and together with his followers, directed by Dr. Ahmed Ajuji.
“The NNPP has long cut its understanding memorandum (Mou) with Kwankwaso and its Kwankwassiya a movement after the presidential elections in 2023, therefore, the members of the movement, as Nigerian citizens, are legally free to join any political party of their election.
“Kwankwaso himself who betrayed the trust deposited in him by the NNPP when he tried to kidnap that the party is what calls others.
“The Nigerians have the constitutional right to join and belong to any political party of their election.
“Therefore, Kwankwaso, who has long lost control of his Kwankwasiya movement, cannot prevent its members from belonging to the APC and/or any other political party in Nigeria.
“Kwankwaso lost all respect of his followers when he tried to bite the fingers that gave him the presidential ticket in confidence without any financial obligation.
“Kwankwaso has been expelled for the NNPP for a long time and should register its own party or look for another political platform to kidnap.
He added: “Its members that are deserted to the APC simply show that it has also lost control of the movement, just as it lost its planned kidnapping of the NNPP, registered in 2002, before its entry in 2023.
“Kwankwaso's political career ended with his expulsion from NNPP and the consequent drop in his followers.
“Kwankwaso should take advantage of the great heart of Senator Abdullah Ganduje to help him return to the APC family as an ordinary member of the party instead of criticizing the deserters to the party.”
