LG Lagos Survey: Prepare land for the 2027 re-election of Tinubu, Sanwo-olu urges the electorate

Before the general elections of 2027, the governor of Lagos, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-olu, asked the residents of Ibeju-Lekki on Wednesday to demonstrate his loyalty to the decision of the congress of all progressives (APC) using the next elections of the local government in the state to prepare the land for the re-election of President Bola Tinubu.

The local government survey has been scheduled to celebrate the State on July 12, 2025.

Governor Sanwo-olu made the call during the historical commissioning of the new complex of the Secretariat of the Local Government of Ibeju-Lekki, the Legislative Building and the 400 m paved road, as well as the innovative of the Ibeju-Lekki housing scheme in the Secretariat of the newly built Council.

The governor, when making the call, said that the state elections would be held in a month, urging residents to demonstrate their worth and “vote for APC candidates in the year” to guarantee a soft candle for the 2027 re -election of Tinubu.

“Local government elections are approaching, it's just one month. I want you to use the elections to prove your value so that by 2027 it is a candle without problems for Mr. President,” he said.

Speaking about the implementation, Sanwo-olu said that everything that the administration revolved

“You know that everything we are doing encourages job creation, increases in the internal income of the local government.

“And we believe that it will promote the ordered rural development that will eventually preserve the dignity and well -being of the community,” he said.

Previously, the president of the Council, Hon. Abdullahi Olowa said his administration assumed the responsibility of restoring local government government machinery from scratch, remembering that he inherited the urgent task of building a new and modern Secretariat of the Council.

He said that this followed the unfortunate tragedy that happened in the local government area a year earlier in 2020 when #Endessars Vandals burned the existing structures within the Secretariat.

The Chief of the Council appreciated God by his grace, saying that his administration had not only rebuilt but also raised these structures to modern world class facilities.

“When we assumed the position in mid -2021, we inherit the urgent task of building a new and modern Secretariat of the Council, after the unfortunate tragedy that happened to our local government a year earlier in 2020 when the vandals of the extremes burned the existing structures within the Secretariat.

“Our administration assumed the responsibility of restoring the local government's government machinery from scratch. Today, by the grace of God, we have not only rebuilt but we have also raised these structures to modern world class facilities,” Olowa said..
