The court, chaired by Judge Ambrose Lewis-Allagoa, sentenced each defendant to five years in prison for each of the three positions, but granted them the option of paying a fine of ₦ 1 million each.
He decided that prayers and fines would function simultaneously.
“This court has considered the statement of guilt, class and amount of the drug involved, and the social implications of crime.
“The law must take its course, although the court recognizes the plea of ​​mercy,” said the judge.
The position is read in part: “That you, Fanou Mireille, Noudeha Hilda, Akande Olayemi and Luadun Fadekemi, along with others now in general, around June 2, 2025, on the similar border, Badagry, Lagos, conspired to import 5.62 kilograms of cocaine without legal authority.
“In this way, he committed a punishable crime with section 14 (b) of the Ndlea Law, Cap N30, laws of the Nigeria Federation, 2004 (amended).”
The other unidentified suspects involved in the case, identified only as Dad, Mama Yabo, Zico and Baba Luku, also known as Lukman, remain in general.
