The United States has implemented a new policy that introduces a mandatory visa integrity rate of $ 250 for all non -immigrant travelers.
This position, which does not allow exemptions or exemptions, is part of the great Law of Big Beutify bill approved during the Trump Administration.
According to Jorge Loweree, Managing Director of Programs and Strategy at the American Imigration Council, “attach an additional $ 250 rate has the very real potential to significantly reduce the number of people who can afford to do so.
“There are hundreds of thousands of people who receive visas and permission from the State Department to come to the United States every month.
The law also allows the National Secretary of Security to increase the rate at any time if it is considered necessary.

According to the new regulation, the rate will be collected only after a visa is awarded.
Applicants whose visa requests refuse must not pay.
However, a refund for people who fully meet the conditions of their visa is possible.
To qualify for refund, travelers should avoid participating in unauthorized job, refrain from trying to extend their stay and leave the United States within five days after the expiration of their visa.
Permanent legal residents can also be eligible for reimbursements, although the specific process to claim them has not yet been described.
This policy is expected to have the greatest impact on tourists, business travelers and international students.
In addition to the visa integrity rate, the law has several other increases in rates that affect foreigners. For example, the cost of obtaining form I-94, which documents the arrival and exit of foreign citizens, has increased.
While Air travelers generally receive the form electronically, those who enter by land, which previously paid $ 6, will now pay $ 24 for each broadcast. It is still uncertain what categories of land travelers will be affected by the adjustment.
Travelers from visa exemption countries that use the electronic system for travel authorization (this) will also face higher costs. The rate has risen to a minimum of $ 13, with future adjustments to be linked to inflation.
The legislation imposes higher positions on several services related to immigration.
Temporary protected status requests now cost $ 500, while the initial employment authorization documents (EADS) are established at $ 550, with renovations with a price of $ 275. Asylum seekers will pay an annual rate of $ 100.
Humanitarian probation applications now attract a $ 1,000 position, and applicants seeking an EAD based on probation will pay $ 550 for the initial card and $ 275 for renewals.
In the Immigration Court, the cost of adjusting the State is now $ 1,500, with cancellation of elimination established at $ 600. Most appeals and motions will now cost $ 900.
