The Nigeria Security and Defense Corps Command (NSCDC), Federal Capital Territory (FCT) has collaborated with United Healthcare to provide free medical services for people from the Jahi community in the federal territory of Capital.
The dissemination provided free blood pressure controls and monitoring, HIV detection, supply and distribution of medicines for children, adults and the elderly.
Speaking at the ceremony outside the ceremony, the commander of the FCT, Olusola Odumosu, said that the body did not ignore the challenges facing the Jahi community when accessing medical services, the reason why the FCT command decided to associate with United Healthcare to complement government efforts.
Interim Public Relations Officer, the NSCDC FCT command, Monica Ojobi, in a statement on Friday in Abuja said Odumosu said that, as a base security organization, the body undertakes to serve people, promoting good health, security and security.
“This scope is our own way of showing commitment to the well: being from the community and our dedication to build a stronger relationship with the people we are serving.”
The FCT commander, accused the people of the Jahi community, to take advantage of the vital information body about criminal activities in their locality, ensuring that the body will handle all the information provided with the maximum confidentiality and, in addition, take the necessary measures to guarantee the safety of the informant.
“We are here to serve him and his contribution is invaluable in our efforts to keep the FCT safe from the hands of criminals and vandals: let’s work together to build a safer and safer environment for everyone,” Odumosu said.
Responding to the gesture, the head of the Jahi community, Chief Adamu Dogo, (Dagachi Jahi 1), expressed his gratitude to the NSCDC FCT command, for the kind gesture, attractive that his community should be considered for more such support in the future.
He praised FCT’s commander for being a pioneer in the scope, noting that he was the first of his kind security organization in the FCT.
