A head of the National Union of Transport Workers on the Highway (Nurtw), Azeez Abiola, popularly known as Istijabah, has retracted his previous claim that links Nollywood Aisha Lawal actress with a controversial Toyota Venza car gift and issued a public apology.
In video Made during a reconciliation meeting, Istijabah admitted that he was wrong to associate Lawal with the Toyota Venza car allegedly given by the former Nurtw Chief, Musiliu Akinsanya, also known as MC Oluomo.
“If we observe what has been happening between me and Sister Aisha regarding the theme of Venza, I initially went out to say that she was not the one that collected it. Now I am repeating it again, she was not the one indicated. It is also present here as we solve the problem.
“That is why I am here to present my apologies. She is my sister, and there is no need for us to fight. There is no gain in that. Thank God he is a good person and has accepted my apologies.
“No one should mention her name on social networks, claiming that she was the one who collected the venza. She was not the one. It was a mistake and a confusion.”

Tribune Online reports that the actress had previously discredited the accusation in a video, where she firmly denied having received or possessing a Toyota Venza.
She declared that she initially considered ignoring the rumor, but chose to respond to protect her reputation among her clients, fans and family members.
The statement originated in a viral video in which Istijabah accused MC Oluomo of reliab trade union funds when spending extravagantly in Nollywood actresses.
He had appointed Lawal as one of the beneficiaries, claiming that he was given a Toyota Venza at the expense of the members of the union.
Lawal, who threatened legal actions against Istijabah, expressed his consternation for the accusation, clarifying that he had never led or possess that car.
