Only old wolves in the new Agbada – Charly Boy Slams Adc Coalion

Must Read

The veteran singer and activist, Charles Chukwuemeka opputa, popularly known as Charly Boy, has dismissed the newly formed opposition coalition before the 2027 general elections, describing it as a recycled meeting of the same policy elite responsible for the decrease of Nigeria.

Reacting to the adoption of the coalition of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) as a unifying platform to challenge President Bola Tinubu in 2027, Charly Boy criticized the alliance as selfish and without genuine intention to rescue the country.

In a publication shared on its official Facebook page on Thursday night, the artist pointed to the opposition figures: blessing of the Democratic Party of the Peoples (PDP), the Labor Party (LP), the Social Democratic Party (SDP) and the discontent members of the Congress of all the progressive (APC), which trust them as “old wolves in the new agbada.”

“The coalitions are being formed, but we do not pretend that each alliance is progress. Sometimes, they are only old wolves in the new Agbada,” he wrote.

“Are they fighting for you, or struggling to sit where their enemies used to sit? Are they shouting” enough “because they have changed … or because they are no longer the ones that benefit?”

Charly Boy urged the Nigerians to look beyond family political faces and, on the other hand, demand new values, bold leadership and visionary ideas, adding: “2027 is not about revenge. It is a matter of rescue.”
