The ancient city of Ilaesa, Osun state, is ready to celebrate the coronation of the 41st Owa Obokun and ruling Paramount of Ijesaland, Oba Clement Adesuyi Haastrup, Ajimoko III, today.
Speaking about the preparation of the Nigeria Security and Defense Corps (NSCDC) and sister security agencies to strengthen security, spokesman, Osun NSCDC, ASC Kehinde Adelev, in a statement, said that a significant number of personnel have deployed to administer the crowd, prevent interruptions and guarantee the safety of dignity and attendees.
The spokesman quoted the commander of NSCDC, Igbalawole Sotiyo, having declared that “the NSCDC patrol teams are already in the field, maintaining a visible presence to deter possible security threats.”
However, Commander Sotiyo urged people with criminal intentions to stay away from the scope of the event, pleading with all attendees to cooperate with security agencies to guarantee a peaceful and successful celebration.
