According to her, “we have been seeing their work, but we want them to strengthen what they are doing in the Primary Health Care Centers in their respective communities. They need to create more awareness about health -related events and activities.

“Whatever they see that it is not going well, they must inform us, either at the level of primary health care, or at the level of secondary medical care, or even in the Ministry of Health. They must be there as our ambassadors.

“We have many activities in which we need to intervene, such as the net distribution campaign treated from August 1 to 7. We need more awareness for people in the community, particularly in the use of networks.

“The network is not intended for fishing or to cover whatever they are planting on the farm, but it is for people to sleep to avoid cases related to malaria.

“And as ambassadors, they need to work more so that they can give us the information about the situation in their communities; these are some of the things that will help inform policies or implement changes that we see about our community.”

The president of the Primary Health Board of the State of Oyo, the Honorable Awoleye Dada, in a comment, said that the appointment of eight permanent secretaries for the health districts by the government of the state of Oyo was for a better supervision of the health provision, but documented comments on activities in the Primary Medical Care Centers (PHC) is still vital.
