Oyo Govt seeks the collaboration of interested parties to grow the health sector

The government of the state of Oyo has sought the collaboration of stakeholders in their efforts to grow the health sector, as well as improve primary health care (PHC).

The president, the Health Management Board of the State of Oyo, Chief Akin Fagbemi, sought assistance while receiving medical teams worth millions of Naira donated by Oluyole Diamond Sisters’ Club UK at the State Maternity Hospital, Adeoyo, Ibadan.

Fagbemi, while reiterating the commitment of the administration led by Governor Seyi Makinde to the growth of the health sector, said the government only cannot assume responsibility.

He, therefore, urged interested parties to make the Diamond Sisters Club line.

Fagbemi added that donated items would greatly contribute to improving the services for the provision of medical care in the state.

He also made a demand for hotels for medical students and nurses of the Ibadan Indigenous Council and other interested parties, noting that the land is available for the project.

Previously in her speech, the general secretary of the group, the head of Alhaja, Mrs. Ramat Kikelomo Ojetola, said that the intervention is a tradition of service and support through the donation of medical equipment of Naira multimillionaires.

“This gesture is not only part of our social responsibility of the community, but also a reflection of our lasting commitment to contribute significantly to the health provision system in the state of Ibadan and Oyo in general.”
