Nigeria’s D’Tigress vs Germany: A Pre-Olympic Friendly Match

Nigeria’s women basketball team, called D’Tigress, played a friendly game against Germany. They lost by 77-63 on Friday. This was a practice game before the Olympics.

Their coach, Rena Wakama, was happy because the team tried very hard, even though they didn’t win.

One player, Amy Okonkwo, scored the most for Nigeria. She got 16 points and two rebounds. Another player, Elizabeth Balogun, also did very well with 14 points and five rebounds.

A German player, Alexis Peterson, was the top scorer in the game with 22 points.

D’Tigress will play two more practice games. They will play against Serbia and Puerto Rico next.

In the Olympics, Nigeria will compete against three other teams: Australia, France, and Canada.
