PDP Expresses Outrage: Determined to Prevent Electoral Malpractice in Ondo

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is asking the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to make sure the governorship election in Ondo State is fair and honest.

Seyi Makinde, the Governor of Oyo State and leader of the PDP in the South-West area, asked for this during the launch of the party’s governorship campaign in Akure on Tuesday.

He said that they do not want any cheating like what they believe happened in the Edo State election.

Governor Makinde also said that the current INEC officer, Mrs. Oluwatoyin Babalola, should be replaced. He thinks she cannot be trusted to hold a fair election in Ondo.

This change, he said, would make sure the election is fair for everyone who is running.

Makinde mentioned, “We don’t like what happened in the Edo State election. We want it to be fair in Ondo State.”

He said that they will keep protesting if she stays in charge because they want fairness.

At the same event, Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, who is also the leader of the campaign in Ondo, said they have chosen a strong candidate, Agboola Ajayi.

The PDP’s national leader, Umar Damagun, also feels that the Edo election wasn’t fair. He believes their candidate, Asue Ighodalo, should have won.

“We want the election in Ondo to be fair and clear,” said Damagun.

Agboola Ajayi said that if he wins, he has plans that can help the people of Ondo State have a better future.
