Plateau LG Elections: Kanam Constituents Committed to Voting APC – Representative Gagdi

Must Read

Before local government elections in Plateau State, Yusuf Gagdi, who represents Pankshin/Kanke/Kanam in the House of Representatives, said people in his area will vote for the All Progressives Congress (APC) because the party has done a lot for them.

The APC welcomed 15,000 new members who left the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Plateau State.

Gagdi asked the Plateau State Independent Electoral Commission (PLASIEC) to make sure the elections are fair and everyone has a chance to vote freely.

He said these things at the start of the APC campaign for the local government elections on October 9, 2024, in Kanam Local Government Area.

Gagdi stated, “We are here to show everyone in Plateau State that Kanam is ready for the elections. As long as elections happen, no one can cheat in Kanam. Our people’s votes are like missiles; they will defend against anyone who tries to oppose us.”

For why the Kanam people should vote for the APC, Gagdi said, “I built all the roads in Kanam, and I’m a member of the APC. I challenge the PDP to tell my people what it has done for them in the past year.”

He said the PDP has received a lot of money from the federal government but has done nothing for his area. Gagdi also asked PLASIEC again to ensure fair and free elections and expressed confidence that if this happens, the people of Kanam will decide their future themselves.

He urged everyone to stay calm and follow the laws before, during, and after the elections.

Rufus Bature, the chairman of the APC in Plateau State, praised Gagdi for helping his people and asked everyone in Kanam to vote for the APC so they can continue to benefit from the government.

Bature assured the new members who left the PDP for the APC that they will have the same opportunities as everyone else in the party. He asked everyone to work hard to win the upcoming elections.

Dr. Nentawe Yilwatda, the APC chairman and their candidate for governor in the 2023 elections, gave APC flags to the candidates for the chairmanship and councillorship positions.
