The Kogi State Police Command has confirmed the murder of three of its officers by unknown armed men at a control point in EGBE, a community that shares a limit with the state of Kwara.
The Public Relations officer of the Kogi State Police, PPRO SP William Ovye, who confirmed the incident to the journalists said it happened in the early hours of Wednesday.
Aya said that Kogi’s state police commissioner, Miller DantaWaye, has deployed a police tactical team in the area, adding that they are on the path of the gunmen.
“I can confirm that three of the service officers were killed today in Egbe; a border community with the state of Kwara.
“The police commissioner has deployed a tactical squad in the area. We are currently on the path of these underworld and all will be arrested,” he said.
