Premier League: Martin Keown Doubts Tottenham’s Chances Against Arsenal

Must Read

Football expert and ex-Arsenal player, Martin Keown, has shared his thoughts on Arsenal’s upcoming game against Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League.

The big North London match will happen right after the Fifa international break on Sunday.

Keown, who used to play for Arsenal, thinks Tottenham won’t beat Arsenal but says the game will be close because both teams are strong.

Arsenal has many hurt players and will visit Tottenham Hotspur’s stadium for the match.

So far, Arsenal has done pretty well this season, winning two games and tying one in their first three matches.

Tottenham hasn’t done as well, winning one game, drawing one, and losing one in their first three matches.

Keown believes Arsenal’s coach, Mikel Arteta, can help his team keep playing well and beat Tottenham.

He said on talkSPORT, “I like how Spurs are playing and their team spirit. It won’t be an easy game for Arsenal.”

“When Arsenal played at Tottenham’s stadium last time, the focus was on stopping Arsenal from becoming league champions.”

“Now, with a new coach, Spurs might be more focused on winning their own trophies. It’s been a while since they won anything. We should respect Spurs.”

“It’s tough for Arsenal. They have many injured players. Another player, Calafiori, picked up an injury recently. New signing Merino, who would have replaced Rice, is also hurt. It’s been an unlucky start for Arsenal.”

“What they need to do now is work hard and try to get some points despite these challenges.”

When asked if he would be surprised if Spurs beat Arsenal, Keown said, “Yes, I would be very surprised if Spurs win. It would be a big setback for Arsenal, but I don’t think that will happen.”
