Nollywood actress, Pat Ugwu, died at the age of 35.
His colleague, Emeka Okoye, gave the sad news in an Instagram post on Wednesday, sharing a funeral poster with details of his final rites.
Expressing his pain, he wrote: “Rest in peace sister. Pat ugwu. @Patpat_ugwu Then we are not going to work again? Death Why? God please. Rest in peace pat. May your soul rest within the Lord.
Okoye also raised concerns about the growing number of losses in the industry, adding: “God, please protect all my colleagues, especially those who are close. This unusual death is terrifying. I proclaim life to all close to me this 2025 in the beautiful blood of Jesus. Amen.”

The cause of his death has not been revealed.
Several Nollywood stars, including Rita Edochie, Destiny etko, Nkechi Blessing and Kevin Mike, have reacted to the heartbreaking news.
Destiny etko commented: “Jesús Noooooo”, while Kevin Mike shared on Instagram: “Chai, I just woke up this morning to listen to the death of one of our crew and spear @patpat_ugwu. Rest in dear peace.
Pat Ugwu, who lost his father in 2021, will be buried on February 7, 2025.
