Another unpleasant group has emerged, recycling an discredited report against Senator Shehu Buba. This time, accusations come from a so -called progressive movement.
However, a simple online search reveals the obvious: the group only appears with a Declaration book and derogatory addressed to the legislator. No previous footprint. But the statements are not new. They are a reba promoted by the detractors who once accused Buba of collusion with non -state actors, a position that has constantly ruled out as unfounded and politically motivated.
In response to previous attempts to link it with an outlaw, organizations in the state of Bauchi responded what they described as a calculated conspiracy. Buba has faced similar controversies that collapse under scrutiny.
In the current case, the absence of credible details makes the accusations even weaker. Meanwhile, the narrative that is pushed contradicts realities in the field.
In recent months, the areas of the local government of Toro and Tafawa Balewa have experienced a relative peace, an inconsistent development with the statements of the insecure environment.
Buba accusers overlook their work as president of the Senate Committee on National Security and Intelligence, where it has become a main voice for a change in the struggles for insecurity of Nigeria.
He advocates military action with non -kinetic approaches; While force can provide a respite, sustainable peace requires approaching root causes, such as fractured poverty; that “peace is not achieved through a cannon of arms; it is built through trust, equity and shared prosperity.” Senator’s position is not theoretical.
Based on his academic training in Peace and Conflict Management Studies, he has defended dialogue, reconciliation, socioeconomic renewal and has pressed the initiatives led by the community and the commitment to interested parties throughout the division.
These efforts have reduced clashes between farmers and shepherds in volatile areas. In addition, Buba has been widely praised for his collaboration with the office of the National Security Advisor and other interested parties, which caused a balanced and human approach to security management.
This recognition underlines the marking contrast between the constructive work of the senator and the spots that threw it.
In the field in the senatorial district of southern Bauchi, Buba corroborates their rhetoric with actions by supporting the families of murdered vigilantes, providing development projects to strengthen the resilience of the community and prioritize programs that directly address local insecurity.
The results of these interventions show that a legislator focused on legislative duties, not on distractions. An Arab proverb wisely points out: “If a dog cannot harm him, except with his barking, let him bark until the day of the resurrection.”
Although not all foundation attacks deserve an answer, it is appropriate to speak when necessary to prevent falsehoods from becoming facts and exposing the cynical motifs.
In certain cases, things made public are not a genuine protest of worried citizens, but an orchestrated attempt that is directed to the reputation of a public officials, highlighting the unfortunate reality of Nigeria’s political arena, where discredit campaigns often replace constructive conversations.
The accusations against Senator Buba remain without foundation. When ghost groups manufacture are, undermine democracy and affect people’s ability to focus on real governance problems.
Nigerians must overcome rumors and demand information based on facts to protect both institutions and the integrity of those chosen to serve.
