Big news! South Africa will host the Africa U-20 Cup of Nations in January 2025, according to DAILY POST.
SCORENigeria shares that the Confederation of African Football (CAF) has chosen South Africa to host this important event.
It’s been 13 years since South Africa last hosted this tournament. Back then, Nigeria won by defeating Senegal in the final match.
But before Nigeria’s team, the Flying Eagles, can play in South Africa in 2025, they need to qualify. They will play in the WAFU B qualifying tournament in Togo next month. If they do well, they will earn their spot in the 2025 competition.
Last year, the Flying Eagles did well by finishing third in the U20 AFCON in Egypt.
