A new statue has appeared at the east end of the National Shopping Center in Washington, DC, in the United States, calling the attention of residents and visitors.
The bronze piece represents the president of the United States, Donald Trump and Jeffrey Epstein, holding hands, smiling and going back.
“We celebrate the lasting link between President Donald J. Trump and his” closest friend, “Jeffrey Epstein,” says a plaque at the base of the statue. A national parks service permit allows the installation to remain until 8 pm on Sunday.
The artist behind the statue has not been identified, although his style resembles other critical works with Trump.
The previous screens in the mall included an excrement bronze sculpture in a Congress desktop that refers to January 6, and another call “approved dictator”, which showed a golden thumb crushing the statue of the Crown of Liberty.
Trump’s statue, Epstein, highlights the bonds of the former president with the deceased financial, an issue that has resurfaced repeatedly despite Trump’s attempts to overcome it. The connection has also caused division within its political base.
The reports have indicated an alleged letter that Trump wrote for the 50th birthday book of Epstein, with a drawing of a naked torso and comments on “certain things in common” and “Enigmas never ages.” The book also included names such as former President Bill Clinton and lawyer Alan Dershowitz.
The extracts of the alleged letter are recorded on the plates placed under Trump’s feet, under Epstein and on a third plaque that marks the “month of friendship”, which shows two hands forming a heart.
The White House criticized the exhibition, issuing a statement that says: “The liberals are free to waste their money, however, they better seem to them, but it is not news that Epstein would meet Donald Trump, because Donald Trump threw Epstein from his club for being disgusting.”
