The Iranian missile hits the Israeli hospital; Israel's votes

An Iranian ballistic missile hit a hospital in southern Israel on the early Thursday, causing damage and triggering evacuations, Israeli authorities said.

“The Iranian regime went to the Soroka hospital in Beersheba with a ballistic missile, hitting an important medical center,” published the official social media account of Israel. “We will not stay. We will continue doing what should be done to defend our people.”

Smoke was seen leaving the Soroka Medical Center in Be'er Sheva after the missile strike, which occurred as part of a flood of broader attacks in Iran.

According to Israel Police, 20 patients were evacuated from the hospital, although a complete scan of the installation had not yet been completed.

An Israeli military officer confirmed that dozens of ballistic missiles were launched towards the country early Thursday, including the one who hit the hospital.

In the center of Israel, the rocket trails were visible in the sky over the coastal city of Netanya as the attacks were developed.

“Police officers and bomb disposal units are on stage and urged the public to stay away from all impact sites,” police said in a statement. The authorities confirmed reports of projectile impacts in “multiple locations” throughout the region, including the hospital area.
