This criticism occurs just two days after the information commissioner of the state of Cross River, Dr. Erasmus Ekpang, listed some of OTU's achievements in the last two years.

“Today the story is different because we reached to rebuild the state of Cross River and return it to its ancient glory, the cleanest state of Nigeria, a cultural paradise, the safest, serene and peaceful.

“It's not about ruling out the past, but recovering what was lost and strengthening what we have,” Ekpang said.

But Ekanom, while heading to journalists, said: “The coalition of PDP support groups in the state of Cross River condemns the Bassey Otu administration for its sad performance, lack of direction and not fulfilling the promises made to good people in the state of Cross River.

“Backed by data from the National Statistics Office (NBS) and other credible sources, we want to expose a government in incompetence, internal struggle within the Congress of all progressives (APC) and hollow promises that do little to address the pressing needs of the State.

“We call on the Democratic Party of the Peoples (PDP) nationwide to unite, put their home in order and take advantage of this golden opportunity to rescue the state of Cross River from the tastes of Governor Bassey Otu, who has had nothing tangible to offer the people of the state.

“A failed administration: the data speak for themselves. The administration of Governor Bassey Otu has presided over a decrease in the key sectors of the economy, leaving Cross Riverians with discontinuous hopes and a gloomy future. The numbers tell a very marked story:

“According to NBS data by 2024, Cross River State occupies the 26th of the 36 states in the primary school registration, with only 62% of eligible children who attend the school below the national average of 78%. The relationship from teacher to student is 1:45, it exceeds the national point of 1:30 Toilets

In addition, he compared the administration of the PDP with that of the APC, stating that the first left an indelible mark on the state in terms of infrastructure and government.

Ekanom accused the PDP to put his home to fight the power of the administration led by the Congress of all progressives in 2027.

“Under the era promoted by Donald Donald Donald Donald Donald Donald or the Push-Cross River River of Liyel Imoke hit over its weight, today, the Bassey Otu government does not offer vision to reverse this decrease, leaving the state paralyzed and unable to finance even basic services, leaving vanity projects only as aircraft projects.

“We, the coalition of PDP support groups, remain firm in our mission of restoring the state of Cross River to its well -known path of progress. We urge all members of the interested parties, community leaders and citizens to join us to reject the failures of the Bassey Otu administration.

“Together, with a united PDP, we can build a state that prioritizes the well -being and well -being of its people over political egos and empty promises. That this is the turning point. Let's take advantage of this moment to deliver a government that works for all Rivilians. The PDP is ready to lead and the time to act now,” he added now, “he added..
