Honorable Muhammad Aminu TukurA toucher of the All Progressives Congress (APC) of the State of Bauchi, former president of the Local Government of Tafawa Balewa and former member of the State Assembly Chamber, in this interview of Ishola MichaelTalk about the formation of a coalition by opposition politicians against APC before 2027, security challenges, among other issues.
What do you think about the ongoing political realignment of forces and interests throughout the country? How healthy is the process, especially the wave of defections and assistant cacophony?
The current political realignment forces are a replica of what took place in 2003, 2007 and 2011. Who is familiar with realignment processes so, they know it was not a success story. APP/ANPP plus the Harry Marshalls, Chuba Okadigbos and other separate PDP elements realignment forces to fight the power of the PDP in 2003, but failed. In 2007 and 2011, it was the 2003 replica. Honest and constructive realignment arose in 2014: CPC, ANPP, ACN and N-PDP. Realineration was a collective resolution with full commitment of the participating parties and the political titans within which they finally saw the exit of the PDP from the headquarters of power in the center and many states. If you observe the current realignment, you will notice that the opposition parties currently in Nigeria are not really opponents with a substance that will have a reasonable impact on the ruling APC in the center.
Isn't it a reproduction of the PDP era, when the party controlled 31 states, and had a large majority in the National Assembly?
Merits come with genuine sacrifices and commitments. I have a deep reservation that this time; Many actors are not committed and are never willing to commit or place the national interest in itself, section and probably intolerance. The country is already in section crisis, the tribe launched one against the other, religious polarization and terrible security changes. With this development, the APC would still be lasted for the last time before the presidency in 2027.
What do you think are the general implications for the whole country, especially as horse training advances in the next elections?
The horses currently in the political field of Nigeria is likely not to be successful because of the majority of the main actors have lost control of their respective states: their excellence ATIKU ABUBAKAR and his unique political son, his excellence Umar Fintiri, the current governor of the state of Adamawa are now separated. El-Rufa'i and Uba Sani in the state of Kaduna, Bukola Sarakai is not in charge of the state of Kwara or Peter Obi controlling the state of Anambra.
Where is in the speech regarding the change of power in the presidency of 2027?
The change of power is a mere verbal pronouncement of our higher political actors without constitutional rights. This gentlemen agreement can be easily violated and rejected by our gullible elders. However, the forces there still favor the ruling APC despite the growing security setbacks.
The Nigeria Tribune also reads: Ogbomoso joins Ibadan, rejects Alaaafin as permanent president of the Obas Council
Should I be able to return to the north in 2027 and why the problem has assumed a northern-south division?
The APC disposition must allow the continuity of the presidency of Tinubu. However, the opposition has the best opportunity to make a change of power to the north with a constructive realignment with other elements possibly harmed in the southeast. This is subject to the hegemony of the entire north, which is not likely.
Insecurity remains terrifying throughout the country, since non -state actors have literally attached some LGA. Some Nigerians claim that the authorities seem overwhelmed by the problem. Don't you share the view?
It can be said that the current state of insecurity on Earth is sponsored by the State even by very common citizens. In this sense, I am convinced by the affirmation of the late head of state, General Sani Abacha, when he declared that and quote: “Any security failure in a nation that lasted more than 48 hours, the government has interest in it.” There are several calls of ethnic cleaning in the print, electronic and social media. A simple example is the attacks of the East Security Network (ESN) against the northern and, especially the ethnic nationality of Fulani. Never forget the ghost groups that ask for the expulsion of around 9.9% of the population of Nigeria, the Fulanis for these ghost groups, while the government does nothing to stop such groups using the appropriate security measures to verify them. The Northwest is an area, since the bandits have taken over the Minister of Defense and his deputy being former governors of the same problematic place. Boko Haram has resurfaced with full strength and has taken over several communities in Borno therefore.
What do you think should be the most pragmatic form of the multifaceted challenges facing the country? Is it signed to the opinion of some people that the quagmire that Nigeria has found is made by man?
The most pragmatic approach to solve multifaceted security challenges in Nigeria is true nationalism, which lacks almost all our elites and political leaders. I anticipate a serious negligence of the leaders who feed the security votes of our collective treasure as docility and intolerance control common goods.
On the other hand, the states of Benue and Plateau are in crisis without another reason than the inability to accommodate other Nigerians with different religious beliefs and possibly cultural differences. This is the ruin of your state of insecurity.
Where is in the planned coalition that former vice president Atiku Abubakar, Nasir Elfufai and others will confront Tinubu for the presidency of 2027?
Atiku is a true nationalist who needs to be tested with leadership. However, the possibilities are scarce as I correctly observed that he and his associates no longer control their own states of origin. The-Rufa'i, also Saraki and Obi are no exceptions.
The Democratic Party of the Peoples (PDP), the Labor Party (LP) and the new Popular Party of Nigeria (NNPP), which are the main opposition parties, seem to be in Jirones, what do you think is the crux of the matter?
The Democratic Party of the Peoples (PDP), the Labor Party (LP) and the new Popular Party of Nigeria (NNPP) are no longer opposition matches but APC mechanical tools. The Minister of the Territory of the Federal Capital (FCT), Mr. Nyesom Wike has unstable the PDP; LP leadership is no longer Peter Obi's team. The NNPP is only that Kano's state controls.
Are the parties capable of serving as controls and balance for the ruling APC, judging by their condition?
The three parts are in a coma with a strong anesthesia administered in their systems. They can barely make a significant change for now.
Given many of the emerging problems in the country, what do you think about the future of the civil government in relation to the needs of citizens?
Democracy is found in a total of Ramboles in Nigeria with President Tinubu having an easy trip by having a submissive/darcil/compatible national assembly.
