UNILAG undergraduate completes 130 kilometer walkway

Ayelabola Ololade, a student of the University of Lagos, has achieved an extraordinary feat by completing a 130 kilometer catwalk at the UNILAG Indoor Sports Centre.

Ololade reached this milestone between October 1 and 5, completing 2,058 laps, covering a total distance of 130.62 km.

The computer scientist aims to beat the 41-year-old Guinness World Record for the longest distance traveled on a catwalk by a model, established by Irish models Robert Brown and Lorraine McCourt on September 21, 1983.

On Sunday, he took to his Instagram page to reflect on his challenges in trying to reach the milestone. He expressed his gratitude to his parents and everyone who supported his journey in their position.

She wrote: “I did it y’all, my record is set. There were difficulties, but I overcame them; There were pains, but I refused to be cowed.''

Her impressive track record as a freelance model and voiceover artist, including her titles as Most Beautiful Campus Queen 2021, Face of Akoka, and Unique Queen, is a source of pride for her and her fans.
