Afrobeats star, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has engaged in a light-hearted exchange with the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, jokingly declaring that he “beat” the minister in a recent viral video.
The exchange occurred on Thursday when the Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, visited Wike in Abuja.
In a video posted on Instagram by @OfficialPrinceNwauzor on Friday, Davido, dressed in a brown traditional suit, was seen repeatedly telling Wike: “I won. I beat them,” as the minister disputed the claim.

Wike, who was sitting in a white shirt, responded with a smile and said, “No, no.”
Davido insisted: “I won! I won you.”
“Did you beat us?” -Wike asked.
“I beat you,” Davido repeated.
Voices could be heard in the background saying, “I beg you,” as laughter filled the room.
The funny exchange ended with Davido prostrating himself before Wike before reaching out to hug him, prompting cheers, applause and more laughter from those present.
Adeleke had earlier visited President Bola Tinubu at the Presidential Villa before meeting Wike..
