Nollywood actress, Laide Bakare, issued a public apology after revealing that she was the one who first presented her daughter, Similoluwa, clubs and alcohol at the age of 17.
In a recent interview, the actress admitted that she personally gave her daughter her first experience club and even her first alcoholic beverage.
“In fact, I am the first person who will take her to a club. That was her first experience in the club. And I like the fact that, in her memory, her first alcoholic beverage and clubs were through me,” said Laide.
After the violent reaction that followed his comment, Laide in a video shared online, apologized for the statement, describing it as a language slip.

“I didn’t know that I said it. The video was sent to me where I said it, but it was a language slip. Such never happened. I did not introduce alcohol at all. I will never do that. The girl (Similoluwa) also felt bad.
I am using the video to apologize to Simi, sorry, the parents who feel that I was wrong with that step. Please forgive me for error, ”he said.
Tribune Online previously reported that Laide Bakare, in a viral video, said he took his daughter to the club for the first time and allowed him to drink alcohol even at age 17.
