The veteran actor of Nollywood, Yemi Ayebo, popularly known as Yemi My Lover, has revealed that after the Nigerian rapper and composer, Olamide Adedeji, popularly known as Olamide, used his name in a song, the music star ignored his calls and messages for more than six months despite the fact that he initially promised to arrive.
In a recent interview, Yemi My Lover related his emotion when he first listened to Olamide to mention his name in a song, calling him a moment of pride and gratitude.
“Olamide was the first to sing with my name. I was very happy when I heard the song, I thanked God. God blessed my name, that's why people used it to sing. David also sang with my name; many people used it,” he said.

Despite the joy, YEMI pointed out that Ybnl's chief never recognized or approached him.
He remembered an encounter with the Fuji icon, Wasiu Odetola, popularly knows as Pasuma, who raised the problem after realizing that Olamide had not compensated it.
“Pasuma said: 'Yemo, did Olamide compensate for using your name in his song?' I said no and that I had never met him before, we don't have the other number.
According to YEMI, Olamide apologized and asked him to collect his number of pasuma so they could connect. But things did not go as expected.
“Pasuma gave me his number and called Olamide for more than six months and he never chose my call. I sent him messages, he never read them or answered, so I let him do it,” he added.
Remember that 'Yemi My Lover' was mentioned and even used as a title for one of the songs in an album: 'Baddest Guy Ever Liveth' released by Olamide in 2013.
