WAFU U-20 Championship: Flying Eagles Aim for Victory Against Niger Republic

The coach of the Flying Eagles, Aliyu Zubairu, is very confident that his team will beat the team from Niger Republic.

They are the winners of the last WAFU B U-20 Championship and will play against Niger in the semi-final on Sunday night.

The Flying Eagles reached this stage after winning a tough game against Cote d’Ivoire by 2-1 on Thursday.

Coach Zubairu feels sure that his team is strong enough to win.

“We will win the match,” he said before the game. “In the first match against Burkina Faso, our players were scared because it was their first international game and they are still young.”

“But now, they have become brave and will play with focus against a good team like Niger.”

The winning team will get to play in the 2025 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations.
