The former state governor and Senator of Bayelsa who represents Bayelsa West in the Nigerian Senate, Seriake Dickson, has hit the ruling party in the country, saying that he thought that poverty and other challenges of Nigeria would disappear after his appearance in 2015.

Reacting to a previous comment by former Vice President Atiku Abubakar accusing the Government led by APC of weapons poverty, Senator Dickson said 11 years in the APC government line in Nigeria, the challenges are still there.
“In a light note, when I entered here and the climbing stage, I saw many of you and, as my brother El-Rufai said; there are several of you who are expert conspirators. They know how to gather a coalition and then take care of the government as he did with my party in 2015.
“And when you did, particularly with a clueless government, called; now 11 years later, we thought there would not have been a poverty weapon. And that all Nigeria's challenges would have gone. But 11 years later, here we are gathered to continue being the defeat of our country,” he said.
Previously, Dickson had praised the celebrant, Amachi, for his work in the state of Rivers during his term as governor. According to the senator, Amachi built security and took out the state's criminals, among other key milestones.
He added that while it was good for the governors to build roads and bridges, it is not enough. Dickson declared that what should be the main priorities of each governor are security, education and medical care.
Also comment on a speech of the former governor of the state of Kaduna, Nasir El-Rufai, who spoke previously in the event, about the continuous efforts to disapprove the governing APC through the coalition, Dickson advised those involved in the process that is attentive.
“And the only advice I can give, not being a producer of professional coalitions and conspirators like some of you are, this time shine your eyes. As long as you built the coalition, shine your eyes,” said Senator Dickson.
