Ibakatv's Nigerian film seller, Kazeem Adeoti, has opened the reasons behind his decision to marry the popular actress Mercy Aigbe.
Speaking during a recent interview in Oyinmomo TV, Adeoti related its early working relationship with Aigbe and how their honesty and its direct character was distinguished in the film industry.
“Mercy Aigbe is someone I have met for a long time. I knew that she is an actress even before knowing her in person,” he said.
“When I got into the industry, I worked with many people, including her. What I love most and admire her is that it is sincere and direct.”
He shared a specific incident of 2011 while working with Aigbe in a film project entitled Hajia Jemila, which left him a lasting impression.
“I remember in 2011 when she acted in a movie for me entitled 'Hajia Jemila'. After I paid her, I was accustomed to people told me that money is not enough. But in her case, she said that there was still some money. She was surprised. She is a woman who still remains faithful to herself.”

Adeoti attributed his eventual union to the divine will, stating: “When God has said that we will become a couple, it happened. And for the glory of God, he is blessing us.”
He also recognized Aigbe's role in the configuration of some of his decisions as a filmmaker. “We are working in the same industry, and she is an experienced actress, so there is no way she has no influence,” he said.
“She knows what we do. I usually ask to listen to her ideas about several things, and let me know what she thinks. She has an agenda occupied, so she only interferes when I ask.”
In January 2022, Mercy Aigbe revealed Adeoti as her husband, a movement that triggered online reactions and caused controversy.
The following year, he became Islam and adopted 'Meenah' as ​​his Islamic name.
