nigerian singer, Omah Stanley Didiapopularly known as Omah Lay, has revealed why he no longer puts pressure on himself to quit smoking after several failed attempts.

The Afrobeats star made this known during a podcast conversation with DJ Dan, where he spoke about his experience with smoking and the difficulty he has faced when trying to quit smoking.

Omah Lay said he had made several attempts to quit smoking, but found it difficult to stick with the decision.

According to him, he has now decided to accept smoking as part of his current lifestyle instead of continuing to make efforts to quit.

“I love smoking. I tried to quit smoking, I forced myself but I can’t. Honestly brother, there is only one life. I’m going to die one day. We’re all going to die one day. So what’s the point of forcing myself to quit smoking?

“I want to be at peace and smoke marijuana. And the fact that it is illegal in Nigeria gives me artificial happiness and a sense of rebellion. This is it. This is my life. I will just live it. I will enjoy every thing I have.”
