The Yauri Emirate Council in kebbi The State suspended this year’s edition of the annual Rigatta Festival, which was scheduled to be held from Wednesday the 4th to the 7th of this month, the Local Organizing Committee of the festival announced.
In a press release provided by the Festival’s Publicity Committee Chairman, Abdullahi Yelwa (Ajiyan Yauri), it was stated that the decision was made after careful consideration by the committee in the overall interest of the event and the public.
According to him, the committee regrets, however, the inconvenience that the suspension may cause to sponsors, participants, visitors, interested parties and the general public, and urges them to take note of the developments and be guided accordingly.
