Zamfara Commissioner Steps Down to Run in Local Government Election

Must Read

Mua’zu Haidara Kaura, who was the Zamfara State Commissioner for Information and Culture, has quit his job. He wants to run in the local government election in Zamfara.

The big political party in Zamfara, called the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), is now selling special forms for people who want to join the local government elections happening on November 16, 2024.

People in the PDP who want to be leaders are already telling others why they should be elected. They are doing this because the Zamfara State Independent Electoral Commission, or ZASIEC, said that from October 25, people can buy forms if they want to be a chairman or a councilor.

Another big party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), hasn’t said anything officially about the election yet.

But the APC’s state secretary, Ibrahim Umar Dangaladima, told a newspaper called DAILY POST that they are waiting to hear what their main leaders decide. He said they will let all their many supporters know if they will join the election or not.
