5 things you need to know about Ashleigh Plumptre, the Super Falcons player: It was reported a few days ago that Ashleigh Plumptre, a defender for Leicester City, has pledged her allegiance to the Super Falcons of Nigeria. Plumptre’s new team is Nigeria. She was the product of a Nigerian father and an English mother at the time of her birth. Before beginning her training with the Super Falcons in the beginning of last year, Ashleigh competed for England at the junior levels. Now, in preparation for the upcoming African Women’s Nations Cup, she has made the decision to play for the Nigerian Women’s national football team.

1. The youngest member of the Notts County Ladies to make her debut
In order to get her senior career off the ground, Plumptre made the move from Derby County to Notts County Ladies of the Women’s Super League (WSL) 1 in 2014. She made her debut for Nott County Ladies on August 24, 2014, and in doing so, she became the youngest person to ever make their debut for Notts County at the age of 16 years and 108 days.
2. Played in the United States of America
During the course of her football career, Ashleigh Plumptre competed in the sport in the United States of America for a period of time. After graduating from high school in 2016, Plumptre relocated to the United States to continue his athletic career at the University of Southern California (USC). She was a member of their college soccer team and scored her first collegiate goal on October 22, 2017, which proved to be the game-winning goal in a victory over Washington State by a score of 2–1. During the college offseason in March 2019, Ashleigh signed a contract to play in the United Women’s Soccer league for LA Galaxy OC.
3. Obtained a bachelor’s degree in human biology
Plumptre achieved a great deal of academic success while she was a student at the University of Southern California, where he majored in human biology. Her achievements in the classroom earned her academic recognition from the Pac-12 in 2017 and 2018. Additionally, she was selected for the second team of the Academic All-District for 2018 by CoSIDA, which is a student-athlete recognition program, as well as the 2019 United Soccer Coaches Scholar All-America team.
