The Lagos State Police have confirmed that a 54-year-old man named Benjamin has sadly died by suicide in the Agege area of the state.
The police spokesman, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, shared this news on Monday in Lagos.
Hundeyin mentioned that it happened on Sunday around 8:00 pm.
He explained that Benjamin’s older brother came to the Elere Police Station and told them that Benjamin had hung himself in their house’s store room.
“Our officers quickly went to the scene, brought Benjamin down, and took him to the Orile-Agege General Hospital, where doctors said he was already dead,” Hundeyin said.
Hundeyin also mentioned that there were no signs of physical harm on Benjamin’s body.
He said that Benjamin’s body has been moved from Orile-Agege Hospital to Mainland Hospital in Yaba for an autopsy.
The police are now looking into what happened to understand it better.
