The popular influential of Nigerian social networks, Martins Vincent Otse, widely known as Darkman, VDM, has been arrested by the Commission of Economic and Financial Crimes, EFCC.
Activist lawyer left Adeyanju confirmed this in a publication on his official Facebook page on Friday night.
Previous reports suggested that Guaranty Trust Bank, GTB, ordered the arrest of VDM after his criticisms of the bank after alleged unauthorized transactions were made from his mother's account.
In an update, Adeyanju declared that a team of lawyers led by the “head of our firm @Marvin_omorogbe has just met VDM's friend, who was arrested along with him in EFCC custody.
“VDM refused to get out of the cell; that he will not see anyone. VDM was locked inside the GTB exit door for more than 5 minutes to allow EFCC to arrest him and his friend.
“We will take legal actions against GTB for the inhuman treatment imposed on our client,” he published.
