A Badagry Chief Magistrates in Lagos ordered on Thursday the return of two women, Loveth Christian, 25, and Damilola Basiru, 17, at the Kirikiri Correctional Center on the accusations of human trafficking and modern slavery.
The couple faces a position of two positions that borders the traffic and exploitation of minors.
The chief magistrate Patrick Adekomaiya refused to take his statements and ordered that the case file was sent to the Director of the Prosecutor's Office (DPP) for legal advice.
The matter was postponed to June 30, waiting for the review of the DPP.
According to the fiscal officer, Inspector Ayodele Adeosun, the defendant committed the crimes on April 26 at approximately 1:30 pm in the Badagry area of ​​Ajara Agamathen.
He claimed that the two women illegally trafficked two people, 18 and 15, at Ghana's international borders.
According to the reports, the victims were sold in conditions that resemble slavery, the prosecutor told the court.
In addition, he pointed out that the alleged actions of the defendants contravened sections 276 and 411 of the Criminal Law of the 2015 Lagos State.
