A subsequent search for suspects led to the recovery of two firearms: a disfigured Beretta gun and a gun made locally, which was loaded with a living cartridge.

The weapons have been arrested as the investigations continue, with efforts to trace the remaining suspects who fled the scene.

The police commissioner, CP Olohundare Jimoh, reaffirmed the zero tolerance position of the body on body and other forms of organized crime.

He stressed that the police under his leadership would ensure that there is no refuge for cultists or criminal elements that operate within the State.
