Zenith Bank PLC has been named “Best Banco de Nigeria” at the Global Best Banks Awards 2025, winning the award for the fifth time in six years. The bank was among the winners of 36 Africa countries recognized by the prestigious global financing in its 32nd annual Best Bank Awards.
The winners of this year's awards were those banks that carefully attended the needs of their customers in difficult markets and achieved strong results while they feel the foundations for future success. The winning organizations administered their assets and liabilities intelligently despite the interest rates scenarios that change rapidly.
The Global Finance editors made the selections after broad consultations with corporate financial executives, bankers and bank consultants, as well as analysts from around the world. The factors considered by selecting the main banks varied from the quantitative objective to the subjective informed. The objective criteria considered include: asset growth, profitability, geographical scope, strategic relationships, new business development and product innovation. Subjective criteria included the opinions of capital analysts, credit qualification analysts, bank consultants and others involved in the industry.
