Eid-el-Kabir: NSCDC deploys more than 20,000 people in Nigeria

The general commander of the Nigeria Security and Defense Corps, NSCDC, Dr. Ahmed Abubakar Audi, ordered the deployment of more than 28,000 operations of different departments and units of the body before, during and after the celebration of EID-El-Kabir.

He specifically mentioned that the personnel of the Intelligence Directorate, Special Women's Squad, Special Intelligence Squad of the General Comandante, Marsales of Mining, rapid response tactical equipment, terrorism control unit, Department of Operations and Operations of Special Weapons and Tactics must participate in the operation.

CSC Afolabi Babawale, National Public Relations officer of NSCDC, said in a statement that Dr. Audi gave the directives as part of his determination to guarantee the protection of critical national assets and the infrastructure and safety of lives and property to avoid all acts of criminal trends planned by unscrupulated elements.

According to the statement, the general commander of NSCDC emphasized addressing the challenges of insurgency, bandit, kidnapping, illegal bunkering activities, vandalism of critical infrastructure, farmers' clashes and all acts of economic sabotage.

He took all commanders and heads of state formations, officers and men, in the need to improve intelligence collection techniques through community participation as base security agencies, and added that the basis of any security organization and each successful operation depend on a credible intelligence measurement at its disposal.
