A man suspected of being an armed thief has been arrested in the state of Adamawa, with military camouflage uniforms found in his possession.
Other articles recovered from the suspect, Zephaniah Alfred, 29, from Zungu in the Numan local government area of ​​the state of Adamawa, include a localized gun, two rounds of AK-47 Vivas, a pair of military camouflage uniforms, four military camouflage limits, two military camouflage of military camouflage and a black bullet light.
“The arrest of the alleged armed thief followed a complaint filed by an Ibrahim Maikano, who reported that the suspect had threatened to kill him,” said the Adamawa state police command in a statement.
The statement, published on Wednesday night by the state police spokesman, SP Sulaiman Nguuroje, explained that, acting on Maikano's complaint, the agents of the command attached to the headquarters of the Numan Division Police tracked and apprehended the suspect.
Police said the suspect had been on the list of searches of the state command for armed robbery activities that terrified the Numan -Gombe road and the surrounding areas.
The suspect is currently in custody and help with the investigations, police said, adding that the State Police Commissioner, Dankombo Morris, in collaboration with the Commander of the Brigade, 23 Brigade Yola, is working tirelessly to discover all aspects of the case and address the concerns of the plaintiffs and residents of Zungu.
“The suspect will be processed as soon as the investigation is completed,” police said.
