Police rescue three kidnapped victims in Abia, stop the suspects

The ABIA State Police Command has announced the rescue of three kidnapped victims in the state of Abia, revealing that a rescue of two million Naira and other notable exhibitions of the arrested suspects were recovered.

The rescued victims are Onyedikachi Peter Onyegesi of Akpou, Isuochi, ABIA state; Ifeanyi nnabuife of the state of Anambra; and Amarachi Nwaebubu, also from the state of Anambra.

In a statement signed by the Public Relations officer of the Command, DSP Maureen Chinaka, it was stated that after a report of a kidnapping incident in Afojide Market, Isuochi, agents of the intelligence response unit of the command, in collaboration with other tactical equipment, successfully rescued the three victims.

Police spokesman explained that the rescue operation took place on July 12, 2025, at approximately 5:30 pm

She said: “In the course of the operation, a Jeep Red Lexus 350, two million cash from Naira (part of the rescue payment), three mobile phones and two leg chain shackles were recovered.

“Some kidnappers connected to atrocious crime have been arrested and are currently in interrogation.”
