According to the reports, a 56 -year -old farmer has been killed to death by the shepherds when trying to prevent him from walking on his farm of the millet in the Miiango community of the local government area of Bassa of the State of Plateau.
The son of the deceased, Stephen, who confirmed the incident to the journalists on Friday, said that his father was killed Thursday night when he went to inspect his farm.
Stephen explained that when he arrived at the farm, his father noticed the Fulani shepherds that graze their cattle on the farm, destroying the crops.
He said that as she approached the shepherds in an attempt to ask them to get their cattle from their farm, the shepherds attacked him and pirate him to death with his machetes.

“My father then approached them with the intention of asking them to remove their cows, since they were destroying the crops. And that’s how the shepherds attacked him. They used their knives and cut their entire body, leaving him in a puddle of his blood. And that’s how my father finally died,” he said.
He added that the incident was immediately informed to the security agents by some people who witnessed him, but generally did not take measures until Friday when the investigations began.
“Some people informed the incident to security agents after my father was killed, and it was only this morning, Friday, that we saw the security men arrive at the house,” Stephen lamented.
