The armed men on Monday night kidnapped three motorists along the Okene -Kabba road in the Okehi local government area of the state of Kogi.
Security sources told Zagazola Makama that the incident occurred around 10 pm when the assailants blocked the road with firewood, forcing vehicles to stop.
One of the relatives of the victims, Salihu Abdulmumuni, from the property of Usugwe, told the police that his father, Salihu Salaudeen, was among those who took.
Police agents then discovered three abandoned vehicles, including a 200 Dyna with the LKJ 389 GyE registration number, in the scene.
Preliminary research identified the kidnapped drivers as Salihu Salaudeen in Usugwe, Shaibu Mohammed by Okene and Ibrahim Muritala de Lagos.
Three empty cartridge shells were also recovered, while the vehicles were transferred to the police station for custody.
