According to the reports, a 41 -year -old furniture manufacturer identified as Auna Imuekheme has been hit until death by 11 alleged gang members in the state of Edo.
Daily Post gathered that the incident occurred on Saturday, September 6, 2025, in the furniture manufacturer workshop located along Old Sava Road, Eyean in the area of ​​the local government of the State Uhunmwode.
He met that the deceased, who comes from Ikabigbo-Uzairue in the local government area of ​​Etsako West, was killed by gang members for a dispute derived from an alleged defective work before about six months ago.
It was learned that three suspects were arrested by the agents of the EDO State Police command at the Police headquarters of the SAVA Division in relation to the incident.
A brother of the deceased who gave his name as Mr. Lukeman Imuekemhe, said the victim had previously completed the reappair of a client’s work about six months ago.
According to him, the same client, however, on Friday, September 5, 2025, returned to his brother’s workshop to demand that he works again in the same chairs, claiming that the materials used for the upholstery work had been compressed.
He added: “My brother told them that the agreement was only to cover the chairs with new cloth, not replace the foam.
“A discussion broke out, and the people around intervened, and left. We had no idea that they were going to look for reinforcement.
“The group returned the next day with at least 11 men. Eight men initially and followed by three others who arrived at a Toyota Venza SUV of Bueyblood color.
“When they arrived at the Imuekemhe workshop and found him absent, according to the reports, they tried to steal their tools and other articles. The learners and the nearby residents resisted, which led to a fight.”
An eyewitness simply identified himself as Mathew added that the deceased, who had been out for another job, was alerted and run back to his workshop.
Upon arrival, the men descended to the furniture manufacturer, using dangerous weapons on it.
It was said that the deceased was taken to multiple hospitals by a good Samaritan for medical care.
It was said that the good Samaritan took the deceased to a health center at Eyean primary school and the Way Hospital, but the facilities refused to admit to the victim.
He was subsequently taken to the Edo Specialist hospital, where he was declared dead upon arrival at 12:08 pm
The body of the deceased was finally deposited in the morgue of Stella Obasanjo in the city of Benin.
The deceased’s family is asking the Government of the State of Edo and the police commissioner to guarantee an exhaustive investigation into the murder and that all perpetrators are taken before justice.
“We appeal to equity, equity and justice in the management of this case. We have also communicated with the president of the EDO State Special Security Squadron, the operation Fush Out Srednappers and cultures for the intervention because the children supposedly acted as worship children with the nature of the weapons with them.
