The Federal Ministry of Art, Culture, Tourism and the Creative Economy published on Thursday the Creative Economy Data Mapping report, a historical study that provides a comprehensive general vision of opportunities in the value chain of Nigeria’s creative economy.
The report was presented at the Economic Coordination and Investment Summit of the creative industry organized by the British Council in the state of Lagos, as part of the activities to mark the creative economic week 2025.
The data mapping report highlights the opportunities and areas for investment in cinema, music, fashion, design, digital content, tourism and cultural infrastructure.
The report also identified areas where financing, infrastructure and investment are more urgently required, while highlighting the priority sectors with the potential to become powerful engines of economic expansion.
This marks a crucial step to achieve the objective of the ministry to create two million creative economy jobs for 2030 under the renewed hope agenda and serves as a road map for actors, investors and government agencies of the private sector to navigate opportunities and boost the growth of creative and cultural sectors.
The report will serve as a practical tool for private sector actors, investors and government agencies to navigate opportunities and boost growth in creative and cultural sectors, providing a data -based approach to report decision making.
