The alleged bandits have attacked the village of Bayan Dutsi in the Tofa District of the Bungudu Local Government of the State of Zamfara, hurting three people and kidnapping several others.
The attack occurred around 10:15 pm on September 22, when the gunmen broke into the community, shooting indiscriminately.
Zagazola Makama said the sources confirmed that three residents were injured while many others were taken.
According to the sources, the joint troops of the Fansan Yanma operation and the civil protection guards quickly moved to the scene after receiving a call of anguish.
The injured were transferred to the hospital to receive treatment.
The security forces, the sources added, have launched efforts to rescue the kidnapped victims and restore calm in the community.
