The State Police Command of Benue has intensified efforts to deliver the state of criminal elements in collaboration with other Sisters Safety agencies.
The command says that it has carried out a series of coordinated operations throughout the State under the name of the Code ‘Operation Restoration of Peace in the State of Benue’.
The main objective of the operation is to dismantle criminal camps, recover illegal weapons and ammunition, detain the suspects and guarantee their prosecution in accordance with the law.
The spokesman for the State Police of the State Police of Benue, DSP, Udeme Edet.
“The police commissioner, CP Eminari Ifeanyi, praised the gallantry and professionalism of the officers deployed in several operational areas.
“In addition, he expressed deep condolences to the families, friends and colleagues of officers who paid the supreme price in the noble service to defend the State.
“The CP assures good people in the state of Benue that the command is still resolved and unwavering in its commitment to combat crime in all its forms.
“It warns people who sponsor or provide support to the criminal elements to withdraw immediately, like anyone found guilty will face the entire weight of the law,” said the statement.
Edet said that the general public is, therefore, to continue respecting the law and continue supporting the police and other security agencies in their efforts to deliver the state of crime and criminality.
