The value of millions of Naira have been destroyed in a fire that devastated part of a primary medical care center in the state of Oyo.
The Health Center is located in Masifa, Idaba in Ogbomoso.
According to the sources, the incident occurred on Saturday night. It was learned that the solar panel room of the Health Center was wrapped by the fire.
The properties worth millions of Naira were affected during hell. However, life was not lost in the incident.
Daily Post also gathered that the value of millions of Naira were affected in another fire incident in a plastic industry in Saki.
The plastic industry, located in the General Hospital area in Saki, was affected by the fire on Sunday.
Daily Post gathered that the solar energy system installed in the factory store was damaged by the fire. It was said that the solar system and some plastic materials worth millions of Naira were affected.
The president of the Fire Service of the State of Oyo, Marof Akinwande, confirmed both incidents in statements available for Daily Post on Sunday.
He said: “The call in difficulties was received exactly at 8:55 pm on Saturday, September 27, 2025. Upon arriving there, it was a solar panel room of the health center with fire. Lighting of covered electrical devices.”
Akinwande also confirmed the incident in the plastic industry.
According to him: “This agency received the call of anguish on Sunday, September 28, 2025, exactly at 12:50 pm at the Saki Fire Station. Upon reaching the incident scene, we discovered that the solar energy system installed in the store was wrapped by the fire. We quickly put ourselves in action and reduced the fire to distribute to other sections of the factory.
“No victims were registered, the fire slightly affected the solar system and nearby plastics. The Firefighters Service could save properties worth bills of Naira. The fire was as a result of electrical failures of the solar energy system.”
