A notorious kidnapper known as Maidawa has been killed with some of his accomplices during a clash with security forces at the Kwara -Kogi border.
The development was contained in a shared publication in X on Thursday by the security analyst Zagazola Makama.
According to Makama, the intelligence reports of the State Security Service revealed that Maidawa and his gang members were eliminated during sting operations around Isanlu in the area of ​​the local government of ISIN during the weekend.
It was also revealed that the news of Maidawa’s death was transmitted to other members of the gang by another hijacker searched, identified as a baccujo, while traveling through Igboro -idofin Road and speaking with associates in Marabar Maigora, Sabuwa Lga de Katsina State.
Makama added that security agencies intensified their operations after state government directives to stop the incidents of kidnapping throughout the region.
The forces have also promised to maintain the coordinated raids in the LGA of Ekiti, Ifelodun, Isin, Edu and Patigi to break criminal networks and avoid kidnaps more.
