The Sokoto State Police command arrested three alleged bandits, an informant and an alleged drug supplier during a raid coordinated in a criminal hiding place in the local Government of the State Kware of the State.
According to the sources available for the security expert, Zagazola Makama, the operation, conducted by the Anti-Kidnapping unit of the command on October 4, the credible intelligence on the activities of a union of five men notorious to terrorize the communities in the areas of Wamako and Kware followed.
The police team assaulted the hiding place of the suspects in Sabon Birni, Kware Lga, which led to the arrest of Bubale Mohammed and two others, along with an informant and an alleged drug dealer who allegedly supposed to the gang to hard drugs.
Recovered articles include dry leaves suspected of being an Indian hemp and several other illicit substances.
The sources added that the recovered video images of the suspected phones showed them dresses with military uniforms and soft rifles inside their camp.
The efforts are ongoing to track and detain other members fleeing the union, while the case has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) for greater investigation.
